When does the business get easier?
This is a great question and it's one I get asked a lot of the time.
Before I get into the specifics I want you to know that I have been in business for over a decade now and not only that but I've also started multiple businesses from scratch.
I want you to know that there is a disclaimer here and that disclaimer is that the success of your business depends on you! Also, how easy the business gets in the long term also depends on the systems you have in place.
A lot of coaches will reach out to me and ask me at what point does the business start getting easier because it's feeling really hard right now?
The reality is business is not easy and it's always going to be hard because if it was easy then everybody would do it. Even with more than 10+ years of experience I still find certain situations very challenging.
The amount you have to learn on a day-to-day basis, the number of challenges and adversity that you're gonna face every day is not for everyone because most people are not cut out to do it.
A lot of people today flock to starting their own business because they think it's cool but most don't understand what it takes to succeed in the long term.
Many coaches I talk to on a regular basis never understand the amount of grit, patience, and persistence that you have to have to stay in business for a very long-time. There are also many moments throughout the business where you will need to change or adapt and if you refuse to do so you will always run into the same problems over and over again.
If you aren't willing to change then you're going to stay stuck in your business which means the business will always be difficult for you and it won't get any easier to get to the next level.
The challenges you will face in business won't simply go away because you start to gain a little success.
For example, when you start dealing with more clients your business will get harder as you will start to deal with more payments and you will also have to transition to charging more money for your services or even cut bad clients from your business (which can be very uncomfortable).
As you begin to evolve it will always get a little harder and harder which means you must also evolve as an owner to adapt to the different challenges.
When you start to put systems in place and you become very disciplined you will start to save way more time so technically the business can start to run smoother but the challenges will always still be there and you will face different challenges year after year.
Those coaches who aren't persistent enough and don't put their head down and do the work won't ever succeed in this type of business.
I hope this helps,
- Ben
