How to Market, Plan and Promote Your Sports Coaching Business On the Internet

What's up coach!

Welcome back to our blog.

Today, I'm going to be talking about how to stay ahead with your marketing with your sports coaching business in 2021.

Over the past couple of years I have:

Written emails every week

I've recorded videos every week

I've generated sales appointments with prospects every week

All these things have happened while I'm actively away from my office and not working.

For example, while I'm writing you this blog I have emails going out to coaches in my Board Room Mastermind consulting program. Also, while I'm writing this blog I have parents in my soccer coaching business who are visiting our website to register onto our program.

I automated everything within my coaching businesses because I didn't want to have to shoot videos every day or write emails every day.

I like to set things up to where I have more free time to spend with my family and especially my wife, and I want this for your business too.

So, the way I have stayed ahead of the marketing within my sports coaching businesses is by being really disciplined with my time and I'm going to teach you this today.

BLOCK OFF TIME (1 DAY)

The first step to getting ahead with your marketing is you need to have one day within the month where you block off time to write, record and schedule all your marketing content.

On this day I want you to create all the content that is going to be scheduled out for the next 3-4 weeks. When you do this, you won't have to worry about posting all the time because you've already gotten the work out the way.

My sports coaches who are in my Board Room Consulting Mastermind are all doing this right now. These are coaches who have scheduled everything to go out way ahead of time so they don't have to spend every day creating content and posting on social media or writing emails.

CREATE A PROMO CALENDAR (12 MONTHS)

The way I like to stay ahead of my marketing is I like to have a promo calendar sit on my desk.

This calendar will help me to work out what special holidays are coming up during the year where I can promote my program to clients.

Before I create any type of content I will sit down and look very carefully at my promo calendar and mark off all the holidays throughout the year where I can run all my camps and clinics.

When you're really organized with using your promo calendar it will effectively give you all the information you need to begin to promote your business.

YOU MUST BE VERY DISCIPLINED

Lastly, this isn't a strategy but it's really really important.

You MUST stay really disciplined!

An example I use to help me be more disciplined with my time is I turn my phone OFF while working on my marketing content.

I do this so NO ONE can get to me during this time and there's zero distractions.

You must be very disciplined when you do this type of work because it's very easy to start something and then get off track if there is a distraction.

I want you to tell yourself that there's 12-days within the year where you sit down without any distractions and create all your marketing for the next 3-4 weeks.

I want to finish off by saying that the coaches who are the most consistent with their marketing are always the most successful.

Thanks for reading,
