"My Clients missed sessions and owe me a LOT of MONEY...Now what?"

Today I want to answer a question from a coach who just started his business about three months ago.

This coach currently has 10 clients and mentions that two of those clients owe him money and he asks me what should he do in this delicate situation.

Now, there's two things that we have to do:

1.You must self-reflect why those clients still owe you money?

If you're running a business and you have people that owe you money the first thing I want you to do is go to your bathroom and flick the light on and look at yourself in the mirror.

When you do this I want you to ask yourself why did I let this relationship get to this point where they owe me money because at the end of the day it starts with you!

It's your business and it's not their fault because I know from experience that when this happens it's easy to think well it is their fault because they owe me money but the reality is there was probably a miscommunication issue between you and your clients.

"how often should I MARKET MYSELF to prospects and clients?

Today I'm going to be answering a question from one of the coaches inside of my consulting program.

He wrote me a message saying:

"Hey Ben,

I'm starting the process of organizing my email list on Kajabi.

I'm getting all of my marketing set up and I'm starting to write some of my emails.

How often should I be hitting my email list throughout the month?"

My answer to this question is very simple because a lot of coaches think that just because they have an email list built over time and they are only writing one email per month that prospect will buy from them.

If seen many coaches who don't set clear targets with their email campaigns which means they aren't aiming for anything - they are just sending random emails now and again hoping that a parent will either buy or respond to one of the emails.

At the beginning when you're first starting off with your email list I would do one email per week and pick a set day and time to have the email go...

"How much money can I charge new clients?"

clients money price Apr 26, 2021

Today I'm answering a question from a coach who wrote into saying..

"Hey Ben,

I legally set my business.

I have my insurance.

But I'm now stuck with what to charge clients!

Can you please help me? "

Now, this is a question I get asked all the time by coaches who are just starting up their sports business.

If you are a coach reading this and you're in a similar situation I want you to think about these 3 things:

1. Price

When you think about your price you can't base it off what other people do because those people might have more experience and more or less confidence than you at selling their program.

The way you have to look at it is based on what you are offering to clients and not what others in your area are charging. When I first started my business I made this same mistake! Normally if you follow someone's pricing who is cheaper than this may result in you attracting less clients into your program.

2.  Breakdown your offer

If I...

How To Provide More Value In Your Personal Training Business

Uncategorized Apr 22, 2021

Today I want to show you how to get hundreds of clients into your program and the way i'm going to do that is by telling you one word. This word really changed my whole mindset with my training business and that word is VALUE.

I know VALUE is a word a lot of people on YouTube talk about and that is because this word is what most of your future clients will be looking for before they join your program.

When you have the program with the most value in your city you will be able to dominate your local market and when your program is the most dominant for kids your clients will get great results with you which means you'll be able to charge more for your services.

I used the concept of adding value to build my own training business in my city which helped me to reach thousands of families and work with hundreds of kids. When I realised that I couldn't just depend on marketing all the time I started changing my business model around which allowed me to...

Will starting a TIK TOK account help me get new clients in my training business?

I got a question this morning from a Volleyball trainer called Michael who is based in San Francisco.

He says:

"Hey Ben, I've watched a lot of your YouTube videos and I'm also on your newsletter too! I have noticed that you don't talk much about Instagram or Tik Tok? Are these platforms you would recommend for trainers to use?"

I want to be clear here.. I would encourage anyone to be on any platform if they can stick with it for the long term and here's why..

I personally don't have Tik Tok and I try not to get too caught up with social media news as I like to stay focused on one platform and make that one platform the thing I put my time and energy into. Now, if you're an entertaining coach and you want to dance around and sing songs all day then I would definitely encourage you to use Tik Tok haha.

I am a calm person and I like to use platforms that go with my personality and I know will get me clients. This is a question most coaches don't ask...

Should I take a loan from the bank to start my own facility?

Today I got a message from a Basketball trainer who is based in Milwaukee.

He asked me:

"Hey Ben, I'm just starting my business and I'm considering taking out a loan from a bank to purchase a gym. I'm only just starting out so I don't have any clients yet. I'm also considering partnering with someone to start my business. Can you please give me some advice?"

I want to give you a quick disclaimer here and my response to this email is very conservative as I don't like coaches either risking or gambling with their money. If you're in a similar position as this basketball coach then I want you to take a logical approach.

I've seen so many people who've reached out to me with business loan questions or with questions about partnering with someone else. Many of these coaches haven't had good results in the past and this is why they then reach out to me for more help about what they should do next.

Here's one thing I think that has really helped when I...

My client is begging me for a refund for my last basketball clinic!

basketball client refunds Apr 13, 2021

Today I got a great question from a coach who is in Basketball and currently runs camps and clinics with his coaching business.

Before I move onto his question if you're a coach doing any sort of camps and clinics I have a great program below that will help you to sell out future camps and clinics. I've already had hundreds of coaches go through the program, check it out below:

This Basketball coach asked me this question..

"Hey Ben, I've been running a lot of clinics over the past couple of months and my business is doing great! But the last clinic I ran I had three people who didn't show up and they're all asking for a refund now. What should I do?"

I was able to gather a lot more information from this coach and I asked him to send me over his website so I could take a look at it. I even asked him to send me over his payment page. After looking through both, I noticed that this coach didn't have a terms and...

My clients Pay me on VENMO & owe me a LOT of money right now!

clients payments venmo Apr 12, 2021

I got this message from a coach the other day..

"Hey Ben, my clients only want to pay online if they pay me through Venmo. I don't really want to use Venmo but that's what they want to do.. what should I do?"

Now, this is a problem I see a lot of coaches have when they are trying to scale their business and I want to be very careful with how I say this to you because if you're clients are telling you how they want to pay then you don't have a sustainable business long term.

The reason why I want you to be in control with how your clients pay you is because if a parent decides to pay you using Venmo on the first session, then what happens if that parent doesn't show up again to your next session or if they decide to wait in the car and don't talk to you?

The first thing we need to do is we need to set straight who...

My wife thinks I should quit my business

business family start up Apr 06, 2021

Today, I got a really long message from a coach who has been watching our YouTube channel on a consistent basis and he reached out to me with a very brave question.

This coach asked me:

"Hey Ben, I want to start a business but my wife doesn't feel like that's gonna be a good move for us right now. At the moment we both have a job and I think she's worried about not being stable if I go full time into this business and she's unsure that this is something I should do Can you give me some advice on what I should do?."

Now, the way my mind operates is not going to be the same as everyone else but here's what I'll tell you because I am a married man and my wife does not work. In our relationship I am the sole provider and I told my wife before we got married that's exactly what's going to happen.

This Mom said my price was "WAYYYY too PRICEY!!"

Today I want to dig into a question I saw that is very common with many coaches and it's something that I have already experienced with my own coaching business. I've seen this happen to me in the past and yesterday this coach reached out and said..

"Hey Ben, I'm having a hard time dealing with prospects over the phone who think that my program is too expensive and don't want to commit"

When you encounter people like this it should teach you two things about your business:

Starting and Growing Your Sports Training Business? PURCHASE MY START UP PROGRAM TODAY!

First, if you get a response like this the first thing I want you to find out- is this person a good fit for your program or not? If they can't commit to your program then you won't be able to help them and on the back end of that each time you speak to a prospect over the phone you have to understand that not all prospects will join your program.

Each day I look at the stats in my business and I look...
